I need to open it up to fix a leak on the hose(s) in the upper back left hand side.
It seems that the top should open after/when pushing the clips back with a stiff scraper. I can get the scraper in there and the clip on each side in the front does move back - but the top does not want to lift up. Should it? Show I do whatever it takes to muscle the top up when the clips are depressed back? It's very possible that it has not been opened for decades, or ever. Advice please? The leak has me going to the laundromat tomorrow.
I've never had to fix or service it. Any recommendation as to a hose supplier would be appreciated, too.

There are 2 Phillips head screws at the bottom corner of the front panel. Use a small stubby screwdriver to remove them (they come out at an angle). Once they're removed, lift the front panel 90 degrees and it will unlock the clips.

Remove the rubber bleach dispenser hose.

Remove the 2 screws underneath top panel located at both corners.

Tape the lid down to the top panel

The top panel is hinged which allows access by lifting it up like the hood of a car.

Advance the timer to fill and identify where the leak is coming from (there are several possibilities for leaks in this area). From your description, it sounds like it's coming from the injector hose. https://www.seneca-river-trading.com/206154.html

Yep, Dan's on it.

Those clips you were pushing back are not what holds the top in place - they are instead what the front panel hangs from. So when you remove the two screws (lower front), then the bottom of the front panel will swing out, and those clips will unhook from the top, allowing the front panel to be removed entirely. Then the two large screws are what actually holds the top in place.

Thank you! The leak was so slight I couldn't spot the source of the leak when I first posted here three months ago. So, I used the machine and soaked up the small puddle as it formed all this time.
Now I opened it up again and see water coming out of the holes in part 2-13057, the culprit apparently being part 2-13016, the 'rubber injector'. When I removed part 2-23015 from inside the rubber injector, the rubber feels very thin.
I don't see how it works! (The rubber injector with 2-23015 inside it) But...OK.
Does part 2-23015 also malfunction? It looks fine.
I just asked Seneca River if I can get the rubber injector from them.
My hoses look excellent. Go figure.

The injector assembly, and the dial, were the only parts (other than the motor due to flood) I had to replace on the A207 my parents bought in '73.

You can get a new rubber sleeve on ebay.

Soak the plastic injector nozzle/injector bracket overnight in a coffee cup of vinegar and use a toothbrush to clean them up.
