Maytag wringer, what year?

Hello, my grandfather passed and I was left with cleaning out his basement. As a child I recall my grandmother using this maytag wringer washer we recently found when cleaning. I was wondering if it's something I should hold on to as an antique. And was wondering if any of the members here could help identify the year made. It's a maytag model E2LS. Serial no. 27498MQ. The last digit of the serial no. Looks to be a Q but could be an O. Any help on would be very appreciated. Thank you. Mike from Michigan.

If you could post a picture I am sure someone would know with the colors and logos as to how old it is. Plug it in and if it agitates and the wringer works its definitely worth saving.

Exact year/month of manufacture ...

is 1971/June. This according to Mark's (Kenmore71) serial number decoding list, as per the link to a previous thread.

Thanks for the quick replys. I would of thought 60's or even older. Did this type of wringer washer (larger square) remain unchanged for decades? Cuz I see others like it on eBay that say they're from the 50's or 60's. l'll try to get a pic tomorrow and see if I can post it.
