Hey everybody. I had someone contact me a while back asking if I wanted some old appliances in a house that they had recently bought and I’m just now getting around to posting lol. This dishwasher was in the mix. It is the dishwasher I have always wanted but unfortunately they said they didn’t have the bottom panel for it. I don’t see any possibility of ever finding one for it unless somebody on here would happen to have a spare that they would be willing to sell. Just thought I would throw it out there. I believe the model number is WU600. The color would be no issue as I would repaint it anyways. It seems to work for the most part except that I noticed it would overfill sometimes. It started running out the door. Thankfully I had it out on the porch testing it.

Wow, that seems to be in very good condition!  Not sure if the later Maytag lower panels would fit, but they might.

It sounds like you may have a bad fill valve or the overflow switch has stuck, but I'd bet it's the fill valve.

Great save - I kinda miss my newer WU404 'Tag...

Lower Panel For an Early 70s MT DW

Lower panels will fit that from MT DWs well into the 80s, I will will look and see if I have one.

If you are going to use this as a daily driver just look out for another pre 1975 MT DW for parts, while these early MT DWs worked well they were not know for reliability.

I still have a box or two of parts for these machines but have not seen one in daily use for more than a decade or two.

Oh ok! I didn’t know that the panels where inner changeable for so many years. That definitely helps a lot! The later model ones definitely pop up more often. I just have to have on without the chrome trim. I have actually had this for a few months and I’m just now getting around to posting about it lol.
