My dad passed on the 23rd of June, 2018, at my home, surrounded by friends n family. Today, I'm suddenly remembering I'm details of our two bedroom townhouse in Woodly Gardens.
I think it was built in 1966. I remember the complex before that date tho. All the kitchen appliances were shaded coppertone. A square window GE combo, an undersink G E dishwasher, ( with blue racks ) a 27 inch drop in GE range ( with window, but manual clean and push buttons ) and a single door GE fridge...it had what I remember was called a "chiller tray" ...it never kept my ice cream hard, it was always soft..just felt like sharing this today, guess it's part of my grieving process.

Robert, thank you for the reflections and memories.  And, my sincere condolences.  You and I share the name Robert.  I doubt I will not forget the remembering of your dad's passing either as that was my birthday.  Bob

Yes, condolences Robert

My cousins lost their mom on June 18th. Now all 32 of us first cousins have no parents left. My aunt had 19 great grand children.
We're having a reunion July 29th to celebrate all of their lives.

Robert. I’m truly sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Losing a parent is a life changing experience. Time does help to heal the pain of the loss, but speaking for personal experience it never completely goes away. I lost my father 56 years ago last Saturday. I was 11 when he died, the first death of a loved one for me. There is never a day that I don’t think of him. Most of these thoughts bring up good memories that keep him close to my heart.

I hope that all your good memories of your father will also help you to get through this difficult time and in all the years to come bring you peace and help to keep him still close to your heart too.

You have my sincerest sympathy for you loss.

Best Regards,
Eddie
