Hi MArk,

Don't know if this is of interest to you but there is an apparently "Working" Hoover Soft Wave 1100spin washer dryer on the pavement outside my house. The students have left it outside with a note to anyone wanting it to take it!
Are you or is anyone elde interested???
Let me know!

Pete

PS this is in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh UK!

Hi Peter!

Thanks very much for the information.Im afraid im "Not allowed" (Partner has banned me) from getting anymore machines as we have reduced our collection down to virtually nothing on what we used to have because of the impending house move. Plus Hoover Soft waves are not nice looking machines at all. I had one and hated it.It was the Brown fascia and door.Have no idea why I bought it! I dread to think what state its in after a load of students "not looking after it properly" have used it. If it was a New wave or Logic I might beg and plead with the "Husband" to go and have a look..lol

But I appreciate you posting the message Peter as as I could well have been looking for one.

Thanks!
x

No, Honey, you have banned yourself. You let this happen and continue to allow it.

Someone telling you what to say, how to say it, or can/cannot do is someone trying to control you.

Not at all!!!

Many couples set boundaries of some type or other! Whether it is the amount of vintage machines or whether your partner sleeps around!!!! my 2 cents worth.

I wasnt sure about the soft wave.... did they have any particular Ingenious programmes ?? or is the bog standard "similar to Hotpoint first edition?

Its been there for 3 days now so even the students dont want it..... that says it all!!!!!! (no disrespect to students around the world, by the way!!

Hi Peter

The Softwave was your basic run of the mill washing machine.Very boring in design (Dont know what made them put those big switches on for as they are yuk!)and nothing special about it at all.The Newwave was the smart, great designed and fancy machine (I love my lights and electronic displays).....I wish I still had mine! (Gave it to a friend in need).

help wanted

My old girl has a problem, I have a hotpoint t l circa 1993 with the spiralator agitator. When it go off on the spin cycle with that all to familiar clang, as its revving up to hi spin its sounds like something is hitting something rubbery. Do I get an engineer or could this be done my self, the machine shakes only slightly till the spin is on high then it goes smoothly. When the machine brakes its shudders violently, its only started doing this. full spin speed is 1040 revs any suggestions
