Hi Vacerator you asked about the small pipes on the side of the U.K. Gas cookers that were for sale in Julys shippers square that Al Vacbear does. I've done a little video of my cooker as it has one. It's easier to describe its function than type it !

Quite ingenious actually. Better than using a match to light an oven I'd say for back in the day before electric ignitors. Tghat blue lidded cookware is cool too!
It's pronounced "vakerator", or my name Mike, which ever. I chose it when joining the "vacuumland" site.
I saw a "coolerator" refrigerator once, and a kegerator with a beer tap on it.

I thought it might be more a k than s in you're name but doing videos I sometimes waffle on. Later models had the spark clicker on the gas wand too so it lit itself to light other parts.
