(I know the dryer is 1966 or so)

Let Me Say This About That:

While $499 is a goodly price to be asking for a '66 Lady K dryer, there is also the fact that this is a rare Turquoise example. This was the last year for Turquoise.

This is definitely a price to haggle over, but that is not a dryer that grows on trees, either.

Give them a call and ask about their "Eames Era" dryer they are selling. I'm willing to bet that they know what you are talking about. Don't be surprised if the guy who answers the phone is named Mr. Haney.

If it were white, they would not be asking nearly as much, but they believe they have a turquoise treasure on their hands, which it might be to someone. They might get to enjoy their treasure for quite a while before the person who thinks it is worth the price shows up. If they have a lot of space, they might let it sit for a long time. Of course, the longer it sits, the greater the chances it will get shopworn.
