Hey guys, so I’m having a little issue with My Miele B864 ironer as after switching it on with the switch, it trips the breaker not the high current ones but the RCD, if the heating elements are on or not or if the Motor is running,I’m thinking it might be the suppressor, what are your thoughts with this? I’ve attached a photo of the wiring diagram front and back and the controls.

The first photo shows the large Motor capacitor and the small suppressor

Miele ironer

Fist thing I would try is removing the suppressor they are no longer needed as we don't have cathode ray tube tvs any more.
See if you can narrow it down if its not that but it most likely is ... Let us know

I have removed the suppressor

And in turn, removed the problem, although the suppressor isn’t just one that’s just two wires, this one had for one for the live and one with neutral with each one being going in and going out

So now it works great

Miele G560 dishwasher doing the same thing

Hi,
I have a G560 dishwasher that does the same thing. I disconnected the heating element thinking it was that, but it still tripped the RCD. I wonder if I do the same thing and disconnect the suppressor.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks Rod

Hi Rod

Does it trip when the soap dispenser opens? I had a machine that had a leak. When the flap opened BANG. Off

I wish I had seen this before I removed the steam boiler for my rotary iron.
It used to trip the fuse when the steam option was on.
