Miele Dishwasher Prototype! *wow*

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I still prefer the normal ones :)
They can hold alot more dishes.
how would I do a bob load in this thing?!?! *LOL*

If you have OCD about keeping the sink empty of dirty dishes, i would think that "Lift" mechanism would likely need a lot of  expensive repair. I confess, i even load a single piece of silverware. Arthur

May I say: LAME and PITIFUL?

Also the design is far from user-friendly and space-wise, didn't top loading dishwasher go out of fashion for those very same motives?
Also I wouldn't want my drain water to be used to wash my dishes...
I'm sure it will remain a design curiosity!

Again as alr2903 pointed out, I wouldn't even want to think of how much would cost to fix the lift mechanism... let alone the need to do a new worktop and cabinet if exchanging for a new "standard" dishwasher!
And if I wanted to wash only pots and pans (as I often do) where would they fit? On those tiny wash arms? Hahahahah

a Revolution??

Still prefer standard ones...
But at the beginning of the video they said REVOLUTION... well no, it is a step 50-70 years back..
Whole video looked to me like a "remake" of an advert from 50s...

Well it's a prototype which means that if anything like this hits the market it probably won't be exactly like this, but it does give an idea of what Miele might be thinking about and have no doubt applied for a patent for, even if they never sell it.  Of course if there is  a lot of negative reaction perhaps they will abandon the entire concept.  I wonder about that ultra sonic basin where you are supposed to place the pots and pans.....looked like the pots where immersed in water that was swirling, so maybe the pots and pans go face down or at an angle in the bottom of the unit, wouldn't matter to the rest of the load since there seem to be  individual water jets for each wash extension arm or each item slot.

This project was done in collaboration with  The National College of Art and Design  of Ireland.  This could be a special application product for those design and artsy folks.

actually not a worldwide premiere ....

check this De Dietrich prototype on the Appliancist.com

Not sure that is going to fly.

-It won't work in most kitchen here in the states due to cabinets above it, unless this DW is placed in an island.

-Where's the silverware going?

-Pots and pans?

-Where's the water coming from??

-Where's the glass going?
