I found this locally and I’m in the market for a dryer. I’ve seen many members speak highly of this brand on here. What is a fair price to pay for a used machine like this? If this isn’t a great machine let me know that too! Thanks gang!

Cannot tell without seeing closeup of control panel or back, but looks like a Miele condenser dryer. Miele also sold vented dryers back then as well, but again cannot tell from picture.
Looks like a Miele T1526 dryer which a few members own. If this is vented dryer versus condenser you'll get more use out of it IMHO given NY's often warm and moist weather (fellow NY'er). Also Miele no longer makes vented dryers for USA market so there's that as well.
Capacity by Miele's standards is "large", but you may find it smaller than say standard American tumble dryers. It will easily hold a full load from a Miele or other European washing machine if not a bit more. It was mated to Miele W1926 washer which had a slightly larger capacity than other washers.
Personally wouldn't give more than one hundred or maybe a few. Older Miele dryers pop up all the time, so unless this one is special as in very nearby or something....
As crazy as I am for compact washers like Askos and Mieles, I stick with big ol' American dryers like GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, or as most on here would tell you...the infamous Whirlpool with the filter on the top that can be found everywhere.
Big American dryers are fine if one has space to install the things.
Miele as indeed most other European laundry appliances are designed often to fit limited space for washing machines and or dryers.
Watts is watts... A 208-240v Miele, Bosch, Asko, or whoever vented dryer will do a larger load than say a 120v Whirlpool or Kenmore "compact" dryer using about same total amount of power IIRC. Only difference is the higher powered heating of former will get you there faster than the smaller Whirlpool.
Condenser or heat pump dryers are a whole other ball of wax.
Issues people moan about with European dryers such as balling up of sheets or larger items are same as for small American units as well. Truth to tell outside of some larger American dryers have found only huge commercial dryers such as found at laundromats or laundries really dry sheets without them balling up into a wadded mess. That likely has something to do with them having big drums.
