Jeeze-2.5K for the iron and board-base-would be cheaper for me to have someone else do the pressing.I am assuming the machine could be run from 120V?

Nothing Miele Outside Of What is Offered In North America
Runs on 120v, and even then only certain appliances. Everywhere else in the world it's 220v/240v. Could be wrong, but so far that is my story and am sticking to it. *LOL*
Mind you for an ironing system such as shown in the OP, 120v power is plenty. Laurastar amoung others has been selling such systems in the United States that way for ages.

BTW this is the iron that I mentioned. See attached link.
Interestingly enough I have it but still dont' have time to iron much. It DOES take only about 5 minutes to iron a cotton shirt rather than 10-15.
These days I've been mostly wearing Sir Pendleton wools so no need to iron.
