My faithful old Miele made a grating noise while washing not too loud but it annoyed me for a long time.
Spin cycle was fine, it was only noticeable while tumbling but I still couldn`t rule out a bad bearing for sure.
Eons ago I had a loose slipping belt on an Indesit and can tell it sounded totally differently.
Noisy as hell, only present on fuller loads and only at the start of each turn. So the belt was not the first thing to look for when I decided today to investigate the problem.
At first I thought the drum might rub on the door boot but it wasn`t the case.
As far as I understand it this model is not serviceable from the back.
