Hi guys, that's what I found on Ebay-DE. I think it's a really museum item, and of course it had to be one (I think THE one) of the very first electric washing machine ever made in Europe...

The agitator wash method was introduced as you know over here by Jacob Christian Schäffern in 1767 and in 1914 (that's what I can say from the documents in my hands) Miele was the first industry to electrify in Europe that hand-operate invention.

Have a look to one of the image posted in the ad and of course have a look to the ad in order to save that incredible rare machine!!

Good Bye
Diomede

PS: look that it has got a drain tap too and wonder if it was able to spin looking to the circular holes in top of inner tub. The advertisement has got a video too!!!

Those wooden tub washing machines are not so rare. At least not in the Netherlands. I have seen one still in use on a farm. Not for washing but for mixing animal food!

Pretty lame video, they don't even show it washing. Also looks like you can see through the wood... I can't read German so I don't know what they said about the codition, but does it even run?

neat! A translation of the most important part.

Offered: a very old wooden-tub Miele washing machine. The machine still has the original lid and wooden paddles.
The machine is not serviceable, because of its age we have not attempted a closer technical examination. For this reason, the machine is explicitly sold as being "defective".

LOL Pretty Lame Video!

Come on now do you really expect something that old to actually Work? And as far as seeing through the wood? Umm what do you expect it's over a 100 Years OLD!!!

in France too

It's not a so old washing machine. Before, there were wooden non electrical machine. In France too, we had this kind of washing machines. here is a pic of a French one machine from 1920.
