Long as one is careful about sifting, loading, transit, and unloading transporting a Miele washer that short of a distance without shipping braces should not pose a problem. Oh and one's vehicle should have a good suspension system. *LOL*
However if you hit a bad pothole or bump, drop the unit, etc... then all bets are off.
Thing is those shipping braces/struts are expensive and cost dear from Miele. If you can borrow or otherwise obtain the proper set elsewhere that may be a solution.
Keep in mind often via use one or more of the internal brackets that the poles fit through may have broken off the tub. Years ago when trying to figure out what was wrong with my Miele opened the old girl up for a peek. At bottom of machine was a strange object with a hole. A quick call to Miele confirmed it was one of the tub brackets that hold shipping braces. Tech said it happens all the time; basically one violent tub movement that causes it to scrape or hit the bottom of machine and that could be that. In fact sometimes to reinstall brackets the front of machine is opened to ensure the things are in properly.
What does happen is often people shifting a Miele washer vastly underestimate how much they weigh, and or their appliance dolly skills.
