Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nick - that still makes me laugh! "There's no motor. It's called direct drive technology, but a requirement is that the hamster must be fed at least once a day, and that it may not do more than one load in a day otherwise you will suffer from slow spin performance".

BTW, "Tromm" is the name of the huge 10 kilo LG washers in the states, in the same way that they are called Intellowashers here.

Angela might have gotten a lot of years out her Hotpoint then if she doesn't wash for many... ours was on at least 3 times a day (especially as we were growing up, plus it had a small capacity as did most old machines), but even the 9528 and the WM25 both sets of grandparents have did have a fair few repairs between them and they were only used 3 or 4 times a week. Mind you, they both should have kept their machines. Grandma now washes with an LG, and Nana with a new Hotpoint WF340 as you already know. Saw my auntie's WM63 on the other day, but it's just not the same as the round door Hotpoints with the chunky dial and 4 buttons next to it :-(.

Peter, you can watch the videos by clicking on the attached link in the second post at the top... all self explanatory from there. I included wash, rinse and spin videos so I hope that you enjoy them. Perhaps you won't hear my commentary but you can watch the videos nevertheless.

i know Jon

Never fails to make me smile the way she just said it. Im glad she didnt say it over the dinner table, food may have been flying out my mouth over everyone. I had to suppress the laughter stood in the utility room as it was. Practically pissing myself. Even sarah whos mum had an LG smiled at me in agreement. She can be so innocent my mum sometimes. Fell for such a crappy sales pitch. Although my parents still dont understand i love washers as much as i did as a child im sure they still realise i dont just use it because i have to. When i moved back home in march one of the first things mum did was show me how to use the LG. I just let her.she was doing the motherly thing of bonding with me i think after the split. Being nice etc etc. Not that shes not nice anyway but you know what i mean. Ok use it to her means on button, dial to synthetics, temp to 40, spin to 1200 and start. Then when i came to use it well every cycle gets used on my wash day. Lol. Lol Nick

serious answer

my parents are very young in relation to their attitude to life. Mums only 43 and my father is 47. They are not very open minded. I love my mum to bits. She really is so special to me despite her manky bath towels. Im not scared of telling her i love her either. And she always gets a hug when i see her. My father on the other hand. Well different story. Well its Jons thread. Back to Miele!
