Hey Ppl

To quote from the programme table of the w3240

60 deg cotton 6kg 1.02kwh 49 litres

40 deg cotton 6kg 0.65kwh but using 55 litres!!!

Wonder if other machines use more water on a 40 deg wash??????

Hey Jon

Cheers

P.s Am compromising on towels and bedding wash temp at the moment- am going with 50 ;)

Jon

am very confused, how does 6 extra litres constitute an extra rinse? What happens in your fine Miele example? That would barely dampen 6kg of cottons let alone have much to tumble in. Or is it added as a dilution to the wash water? Nick

Don't ask - but 30, 40, and 50*c cottons does 3 rinses whereas 60 75 and 95*C does 2. I think that the rinses are deeper when there's only two or something - I wouldn't know though because mum always presses water plus :-).
