Mini Meet in Virginia...

Yesterday Donald and I went to Mark Harmans in Wytheville Va , John LeFever came down from Maryland, bringing me a 1972 Westinghouse range, and picking up my old Norge and a GE for Jeff Masoner, who got the WH for me, John went thru it and for once, I have a stove that EVERYTHING works on, 40 inch, 2 oven, self cleaning, no turn speed broil, and a Automatic Corox...Jerry Gay and Bob ORear came up from Winston Salem, also Gary, Marks friend was there as well as Robert Perdue and a friend, Mark fixed a fantastic lunch and we spent the day digging in washers and dryers, we went to a great Italian place for dinner and had a really great day.Also I have 3 boxes of small appliances John found!!

Mini Meet At Mark and Garys

Just got home safe and sound with the 1967 Norge VHQ dryer, It was great seeing all you guys, hope to see you soon again and in August here in Beltsville Md.

 

And a big Thank You To Mark and Gary, visiting you two was better than staying at a 5-Star Hotel, Gary even cleaned the windows in my truck.

A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL

Jerry & I got home about 8:30 Saturday night. It was a wonderful time and so good to be with friends. I came home with a Center Dial AMP Maytag washer & dryer, a '63 Kenmore washer for Gordon & a Kitchenaid dishwasher for one of the members from Durham. My thanks to Mark & Gary for being wonderful hosts. It was good to see Robert & Brandon, Hans & Donald and always great to visit with John.

Wytheville - gorgeous!

Just had a look at some photos of Wytheville - looks like a beautiful place! That "Log Cabin Restaurant" looks interesting, along with other historic buildings. You members in the east have it so lucky - so many of you in relatively close proximity!
