Half batch of rice pilaf:

3Qt/L stockpot with lid.

2 Tablespoons of oil

1 cup rice
2 cups water
1 chicken cube.

14 minutes.

other spices as above.

Seems like in a more intimate structure, you guy's can here more washer stories and learn more from each other i think.

(Laughs) the finished cake wasn't all that pretty, but it was pretty damned tasty. I'll see if I can find a pic. There is, of course, no physical evidence left... ;-)

I'm about an hour from Philly, Darren; exit 9 on the Turnpike. The house is less than 1000 square feet - absolutely an "intimate structure"!

Thanks for the tip, yet methinks the cake would never bloom for the drinking of the batter beforehand.
