Minnesota Marriage and Family Protection Act

This bill is going to be introduced into our state legislature today. While for sure it will be veto'd by our republican governor Tim Pawlenty who cares about nothing more than making a national name for himself so he can run for higher office. The idea is getting the talks started to pass gay marriage in the state after the 2010 election if a Democratic governor is elected.

Exciting news though, Maine also just introduced marriage legislation earlier this week into their state legislature.

and to think the high holidays are only five months away!

The Basics

Gary and I were married in San Diego on 8.20.08 ... although they put a stop to future marriages, they still have to recognize our legal marriage. For those who don't know, I have been in the hospital for the past month ... the big difference this time is that we attached a copy of our marriage license to my chart, so he is finally treated as my "spouse". Its all about equal rights, not flambouyant ceremonies, which the politicians seen to overlook. Take care all. Todd

Talked with him last night. He makes my fall 2001 episode pale in comparison. He may have another week in the hspital and up to two more months to recuperate.
