Saturday, December 9th. Mark it on your calendars for a holiday party in Southborough, MA!!! We're thinking about making it an all-day thing instead of just evening, so let's say 1pm to ??? Pot Luck, and we'll pop a turkey or something in the oven.

We could make it a real holiday party and do a Yankee Swap if the interest is there!!

Whaddya think? Let us know if it sounds good and if you can make it!

Rich & Chuck

Yes, John, it will go into the Jenn-Air!! Rich did the pie and sweet potato baking in it today!!

Hey Tim-Shawn, yes, that broccoli-cheese dish sounds good!!!

Chuck

Whew!!

I was going to have to work that Saturday but someone wanted to change day's with me, now I have it off. Sure glad it worked out this way, would hate to miss a (wash -in) party.

Yankee Swap

So far we've heard from:

Ron R
Rich M
Greg M
Even
Jon Charles
Tim-Shawn
John (Coldspot)
Bobby DeRegis

There's plenty of time to let us know if you can make it (I don't think I've missed anyone but please let me know if I did!), but what does everyone think about doing a Yankee Swap at the party? Suggestions as to a limit? Maybe no more than $20?

Looking forward to December 9th!!!!

Chuck

It will be great to meet you and put a face to the voice!!!

Bring what ever you would like. If you could post what you intend to bring (hint, hint to everyone else besides Tim LOL)this might make it easier for others so that we don't have 12 three bean salads!!!

Just a week to go!!!!!

See you then, Erik :-)

Rich

Yankee swap!!!!!!!!! ???????

I know that it's a busy time of the year but we have only heard from 2 people about a Yankee Swap.

Is this something that there is interest in or should we just forget it (sobbing gently)?

Please let us all know by posting it here.

Thanks,
Rich

Count me in, too, for the Yankee Swap.

As far as the menu, I'll be making both a chicken and a crab meat quiche.

Spoke to Tim Shawn. He'll be bringing a broccoli and cheese casserole.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

Ron

Yankee Swap

Looks like we're going ahead with the Yankee Swap ($20 limit, please) at the December 9th gathering! So far we have Rich, Chuck, Tim, Ron, Steve and Gary in the swap. Any more? Please pipe up!

Also, as far as the food, here's a consolidated list:

Turkey
Chestnut-cornbread stuffing
Broccoli-cheese cassarole
Quiche
Sweet potato cassarole
a cake and a couple of pies

A couple of people have asked what they can bring. Please have a look at the list so far and post what you'd like to make! Chime in with your thoughts, and we'll be looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you Saturday... only 6 days away!!!!

Chuck

My plans have changed for Sat nite, but don't want to miss seeing everyone. I can attend the "afternoon" session. if there is one. How about egg nog and some xmas music for a festive occasion??? Not sure if I should participate in the Yankee Swap if it's done in the evening.

Yankee Swap

I can participate in the yankee swap if it is going to be done after 6:00 on Saturday. I have to be at work before then, and will show up afterwards. However, if this ends up being a problem, I am willing to pass on the yankee swap this time around.

oooh these events are NOT to be missed!

I'm a-comin. Beware!

I will be bringing with me two Yankee swap gifts. (May I call it a Kris Kringle? Jingha di-jing!)One for me and one for GadgetGary, who regrets he will not be able to attend due to such mundane things as career/employment. I am sure he will add to this post later today.

Dont worry WasherTalk, I'm harmeless in person and can hold my NY mouth in check...mostly. LOL

Steve,
That is what I was afraid of! You come in wearing a habit,
I'm leaving.

How about arriving in a crotchless spandex mini santa outfit complete with hat and construction boots. And long with, one of santa's 'special' elves in a thong and a gag all oiled up, tanned, and in a festive leather Christmas thong. Complete with Tassles! he :o)

OK, perhaps a first meeting would be better to be mellow and not project our high expectations on anyone. Besides we are not meeting at a nude bar in the Meat Packing District. (god, what I would do to live in a place with that name)
Were meeting via the kindness of Rich at their awesome houes in Southboro. And as you probably know, there are ordinances about having sex or acting snarky in Southboro. It is a very upstanding community. Personally, I'm coming in a suit. (though I'm wearing tennis shoes)

Rich I promise to behave.

Oh yes....

Steve will be bringing my Yankee Swap gift too. I know he can do the same job of taking pictures(guess who taught me???) as the one that I did in July when Steve was not able to attend.

So Erik, will this be your virgin wash-in?? Mine was back in July and loved every minute of it. You get to meet some great people and put a face to the name that you see here.

I can bring a desert item or salad.

Hi Erik, Salad sounds great. We have, up till now, no salads!!

"How about egg nog and some xmas music for a festive occasion???"... John, I'm sorry that you can't stay for the whol;e time. Glad to see you for however long you can stay. Egg nog and music sounds perfect!!

Who's bringing the Trim Spa!!!!

Rich

I'm a-comin. Beware!

Oh...Be a-scared....very a-scared!!!! LOL. Don't worry, Erik, he will not bite....unless asked.

I know Steve is much too fashionable to wear the same thing twice!!!! (I hope you know that I'm just busting ya, Steve)

We (Chuck and I) sooo look forward to seeing/ meeting you all this weekend!!

Rich

Yankee Swap !!!!!!!

What time would YOU ALL like it to be? Chuck and I figured that we would have some food to eat during the afternoon with the turkey being done about 6pm or so. Would you all like the swap to be before dinner or after?? Ideas????
