Having avoided thrift stores for the past couple of years because I've too much stuff and having purged some of it as well I ventured into Value Village yesterday evening and found this irresistible Kenwood Chef KM201 for a mere $30 (22 USD) so there was no way I could let it sit there. I tested it in the store and it purred so into my cart it went. It felt like old times though I'm thinking "what the Heck am I doing" I don't need more stuff, I'm trying to get rid of things. But the addiction rush is strong. Anyways, got it home, gave it a cursory clean because it wasn't really dirty and made some bread (6 cups worth). It worked beautifully, smoother and maybe quieter than a couple of other Kenwoods I had in the past possibly because this one has "electronic" speed control. The only thing that might be wrong with it that I can see is the slow speed attachment port on the top front doesn't seem to be turning. The front port and the highspeed port (for the blender attach) on the rear top both spin. Not a biggie. Might be something simple.

There was also a pristine Eatons Viking (Oster rebadge) chrome blender and even worse, because I collect typewriters, a beautiful green Olympia SM4 portable with intact case but they wanted $99 for it.. I'll wait till seniors day on Tuesday and if it's still there and remains undamaged I may go back for it.. But I need another portable typewriter like a hole in the head.. but it's green and I don't have that color. aye. Someone stop me
