Mixing STPP for Dishwashing

How does one go about this? Dribs and Drabs from around the forum suggest between a 10%-20% STPP mixture in your detergent.

For the people I'll be talking to, who either have an incorrectly setup softener or 100% town water, the water hardness is around 25 Grains. What sort of STPP dosage would this entail?

Personally, I'll be using STPP and compare its results to the Finish PowerUP I'll be testing (or mixing them all together >:] . What sort of mixture is recommended for soft water? I was thinking somewhere around an 8-10% Phosphate mixture, although I'll experiment first to ensure I'm not gonna etch glasses too much!

Why don't you just start by adding a half a teaspoon of STPP to the dispenser and if that does not work, try a teaspoonful. It is not necessary to premix the two.

Another reason you really should not be mixing the detergent with anything is that it should not be exposed to the air and any humidity any more than is necessary. Keep the detergent in its container as undisturbed as possible.
