I work for a caterer here in New Jersey, and one of our clients (name withheld) had a small political fund raiser at his FABULOUS apartment in Manhatten for about 60 people this past Monday. I was the "Chef du Jour" so I was in the kitchen, sharing the space with the bartender ( big open concept apartment) and who should appear at my counter, but Ms. Ginger herself, Tina Louise. Such a lovely and gracious person, and STILL a beauty. I also noticed, Morgan Freeman, and James Lipton (Inside the actors Studio host) all lined up for a beverage and an hors doeuvre. But later as the event was ending, one of the servers came in and said she needed a drink for Bette Midler. After I picked myself up off the floor, Low and behold, there was the Divine Miss M munching on a piece of grilled chicken on garlic toast
and sipping a club soda. She looked FABULOUS! (although the server said she was a witch to her) So thats all, just wanted to share my "elbow rubbing" with the celebs. ( oh, by the way, a Maytag Neptune stacked pair in the tiny laundry room!! )

Celebrity Sightings

When we lived in St. Paul, Minnesota, I never saw anyone more stellar than the Dave Dahl, the News5 weatherman, who bought a washer knob from this partscounterman. He had a direct drive Whirlpool part number 3364290...but I digress...

Of course, TONS of celebrities come to Maui, most squirreled away at some lovely resort on the south or west side of the island. Our chances of running into most those folks remains slim.

However;

When we go to Little Beach (the nekkid beach ;O) you must slog across the vast stretch of Big Beach. I could swear that I see Woody Harrelson down there sometimes fishing from the shore. I'm not completely sure, as I don't gawk. Besides, I want to get over Pu'u Ola'i (Hawaiian for earthquake hill) and get my clothes off and get into the water asap.

When we were doing a brief pizza delivery gig (for extra $$$), Dennis delivered a pizza to Willie Nelson's home in a nearby but very exclusive neighborhood. He did not answer the door, but pretty much everyone has seen him hanging at the kava bar on Dairy Road-our main drag from the airport that has all the horrid box stores. Kava is a drink that I guess tastes nasty but produces feelings of well being and euphoria. Hmmm.

The most exciting to Dennis and I is the rumour that none other than TWIGGY is here! A lady Dennis works with saw Dennis' copy of "Twiggy-Her Mod Mod Teen World" , (a magazine from 1967) and said "I think that's her" and we've seen a car going about with TWIGGY vanity plates. I'm hoping we can get her to autograph this magazine!

I'll let you all know if we do run into Twiggy!
