Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

So cool and typical that our wild poet, Darrel, has the Vorp

When you watch that thing in action especially at the extra low water levels available on some machines, what you see is so over the top, that only a word like "Vorpulator" is sufficiently apt. New to me and delighted to learn it.

Speaking of all of which in this exciting thread: We, or at least I, forget how influential Norge was. We are so often so busy with Whirlpool's Clones, we forget all the Norge-ites in the catalogs, in the Ward's stores, in the Western Auto stores. Where else?

Though one loves Norge's to death, one must admit to saying same about most brand. Ever meet a Vintage washer you didn't like something about?!

And, OF COURSE, Jet would know the real name of the Norge Giver-of-the-Wash.
Who's surprised? ;'D

Years ago, I had a Norge built dryer, that was branded Ace Hardware.

YAY! Another interesting machine restored.

Just have to add my 5 cents worth and tell you that this is a really lovely looking machine, and I am so glad you restored it! I love the rapid advance timer.

Any video's would be great too.

Thank you Ash., I do love this machine!
I do not own a video camera, otherwise I would make a video for sure. <:

Frontaloadotmy, I sure must of been snoozing, so do you remember the dryer was it touch N dry? thanks arthur

Hi Norgers

Ken, I never knew Ace sold large appliances, although we may have had only the smaller Ace's here. Thanks, so the Norge egg was pretty fertile, huh?

Wonder if it hatched anywhere else!?
