Monkey Wards Signature TOL Coppertone portable dishwasher Baltimore

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That dishwasher is similar to the first dishwasher my mother had back in the 70's except it had cycle indicator lights in the center between the logo and the program keys. Normal, Short, Pots n Pans, Rinse & Hold, Sanitize, Cancel & Drain were the buttons.
Once you pushed and held whichever cycle button to start it you would hear the timer motor engage and advance the timer to whatever you chose and off it would go on its merry way.

Yes we have a 1972 Frigidaire made Montgomery Ward portable as well right now in the Kitchen (in avocado, ugh). I've been using it and it does wash dishes and everything else really well. The racking is a bit "interesting", but I think I have it figured out.

I've been meaning to get some time to photograph it and post it. I will have to get to that soon.

I highly recommend someone close by saving that machine, it is a great fun dishwasher to be able to play with.

Seller was contacted yesterday

But no response. I have a white Frigidaire custom imperial of the same vintage (this machine appears to be a clone). Would love to have it for parts, if nothing else.

Seller has yet to respond. Ugh.

Seller responded - happy washdays ahead

Heard back from the seller this morning. He is out of town this weekend, but I should be able to go pick it up next weekend. As long as he doesn't flake out and sell it to someone else between now and then I have a parts machine. This is completely excellent.

Dynaflow brought me a beautiful Frigidaire custom imperial many months ago now. It has timer issues that I haven't been able to resolve. Since this is a re-badged machine, this may just very well be what I have looking for.

Robert, is it the machine that Don posted for sale a while back?

Mark,

If you don't get the Custom Imperial that Ron brought you running again and decide to keep this one instead, don't scrap it! I'd be interested in buying it!

I have a Canadian-made 1969 Custom Imperial that works great and it used to be a mobile but it was converted in an undercounter model with the GM kit. I'd love to get one with white panels! I could repaint mine but I'd rather get another one. And I'd also like the early model.

It is mine this weekend

Have ironed things out with the seller. Getting this for $25 (which is a lot less than the vehicle rental and gas!)

Perfect price for a parts machine. Can't wait to get my custom imperial up and running!

It is home and purring away

First - if anybody wants the oven that is on the ad it is still available and works according to the owner. He is giving I another week before he takes it to the scrap yard.

The dishwasher is home and I am giving it an initial wash so I gauge the performance before I start swapping parts with the custom imperial I have yet to use. The first thing I noted is that I can actually pack this machine. I have all sorts of cookware in it - including bacon racks from the oven (not one bit of pre-rinsing). I will be interested to see if this removes the baked on bacon grease (I normally have to scrub these by hand - my new kitchenaids won't clean them for crap).
