Thanks!

Thanks! I usually take my mother to Burlington and her sister picks her up from there. The last time I was in Asheville they had some really neat antique shops and flea markets.Old downtown has become quite an art type community. Bobby

Lower Creek Baptist Church!

My Goodness Hans!  I had no idea you used to go there.  I played for wedding there a few years ago and I gave that old Allen organ they have an airing out it hadn't seen in a while!

Sunbeam Vista

Your pictured mixer was made near the end of model production. The stand had two position bowl adjustment by moving the turntable. The earlier models had a bowl adjustment in the front of the stand. I am not certain if any of these white models had a metal stand. The first Montgomery Ward clones of this model had a metal stand. The juicer bowl I have for this mixer vibrates during use. This is my favorite Mixmaster model. Great combination of powerful motor, bowl-fit beaters, ease in cleaning, and price at the time it was new.

WOW!!!The 1961 Lady Kenmore vacuum-have that same 1961 75th anneversary catalog-A WISHBOOK-so wish I could get those Sears things today! My catalog came from the Chocowinity swap shop-their book and magazine section-will have to go back there-they have a jukebox I want.the operator of the shop says it still plays-would be perfect for the radio station 45's.

Hans! We had a LK vacuum that looked like that except the tool storage cover was green. We did not have the powermate because we also had an upright vacuum. Sears had a big closeout ad in the Atlanta Journal and my parents went over and bought the vac. I don't think a house has ever been cleaner than after my brother and I vacuumed every damn thing inside from the ceilings to the floors and everything in between. I remember the performance indicator and how much it would move if you blocked the end of the hose. Sadly the bag housing began to get out of alignment and then the hinges for the tool storage cover got weak so we eventually removed the whole thing. We got new carpeting and also a new orange Hoover for $49 at Rich's, but the KM was our canister for many years. I have not seen pictures of our vacuum in decades. Thank you.

What is at the end of the row of WB perks? I think I see a big curving handle, but don't know what I am supposed to be seeing.

The heat control on your Sunbeam griddle is just like the one for the Sunbeam high dome lid skillet I bought my mom in 62 or 63. My mom was so smart. She would put paper on the kitchen table when she used the skillet and do all of the browning of the meat. Then once it was covered and simmering, she removed the paper and had no spatters to clean up.
