No point in letting South Carolinians have all the fun watching Mark Sanford twisting in the wind - now in California we have our own conservative Republican scandal brewing. State Rep. Michael Duvall was recently caught bragging of having affairs with not one, but two women. One of the women is a lobbyist for Sempra Energy, and it just so happens that Duvall is vice chair of the Committee on Utilities & Commerce.

Oh, and Rep. Duvall is a staunch opponent of gay marriage - I guess he doesn't see the point, given that his own marital vows seem to mean nothing.

 
Looks like Duvall has actually done something responsible and resigned quickly. To fill his post, the Governor will have to call a special election at a cost of $330,000-$440,000. That's a lot of money when the state is already in financial difficulties, but at least one worthless legislator will be gone, hopefully to be replaced with someone better.
 
What a scumbag. An extramarital affair is one thing, but:

Vice chair indeed. They should throw his ass in jail for 20 years.

...that I can't keep them contained. Hanky-panky, get a spanking. Vice chair of the Committee on Utilities & Commerce? The former seems more fitting, especially if he's bent over and whipped. I bet he harbors a secret fantasy about Reddi Killowatt! And bragging about his conquests! Doesn't the former lawmaker know a REAL gentleman never paddles and tells?
The "Family Values" crowd may paint us 'mo's as perverts, but the more repressed ones seem to be having the most fun!
