yeah it pretty much sounds like a GE. You have the definite drumming of the tub by the torential spray tower. The motor is very quiet, you don't even really hear it. the water noise drowns that all out. there is no drain solenoid "clunk" because this machine has GE's separate drain pump.
it actually is on their website [which is not too flattering]. my machine's model # is: HDB24EA
The inner door and most of the inner tub is a Whirlpool copy. the detergent cup/rinse aid unit is on the left side, and it is a UNIQUE design.
the upper rack is a crappy whirlpool copy, and the lower rack is a crappy GE copy.
There are no options other than hot/cool dry.
However, the noticeably low wattage heating element seems to run most of the wash cycle.
It has 5 cycles:
PREWASH: WASH-RINSE-RINSE-RINSE-WASH-RINSE-RINSE-DRY
POTS/PANS: WASH-RINSE-RINSE-WASH-RINSE-RINSE-DRY
HEAVY: WASH-RINSE-WASH-RINSE-RINSE-DRY
NORMAL: WASH-RINSE-RINSE-DRY
RINSE ONLY: RINSE [DRY, if you leave the hot dry on]
Since this machine has NO filtration, the Normal wash is pretty useless due to not enough water changes.
