More Maytag Recalls

This is just an expansion...

Maytag/Whirlpool is just expanding the existing compressor start relay recall to cover a few more machines, mostly top mounts. I thought from the beginning that it would eventually happen and somewhat expect it to expand a little more. It was a common part across quite a few years and models. I've replaced alot of them before the recall and I'd say about 99% die with a whimper. Boy but when that 1% goes... Mostly it smokes and stinks but I have seen one or two that damages wiring but it is easily put back to right...

Your Amana made bottom freezer should not be affected at all as it uses a different brand compressor (Tecumseh instead of Embraco) and different start package.
