The latest victim, er I mean patient, is "8 of 56" - my Norge Timeline washer.
Norgie went out of service last fall when it refused to spin properly.

In my usual leap to a conclusion, I decided the pump had seized up on me and was preventing the belt from driving the transmission at the right speed.
It made sense...the pump was stuck when I got the machine and I have worked on it twice since then.

I got very lucky and found a NOS replacement pump.
But I didn't need it...
It turned out that the pulley on the pump in the machine had come loose. And it came loose because Mr. I-Have-The-Strength-Of-An-Eight-Year-Old hadn't securely tightened the set screw. Amazingly, I found the set screw under the 51 GE! Luck, pure luck...

After two dry tests, I swapped the 57 Speed Queen for the Norge. The first cycle was good. I rate it only as good because the Timeline timer on this one sticks... It won't advance through fill into wash and it sticks at the 6-minute mark of the wash cycle.
I have to decide what to do with the leaky 55 Norge out in the garage but I will wait until I have the 57 GE restored (and yes, you may call me out on that!) to do further exploration on the 55...

Paul, could it be you are a person who does not like going around in circles? Or better yet, could you find it frustrating if you feel you are spinning your wheels? Or is that you do not like it if you feel the situation you are in is spinning out of control? Or maybe you just don't like doing things in a round about manner?....just a thought (Dr. Phil would have a fit trying to analyze me! LOL)......PATRICK COFFEY

Alas, no.... Jon had a dryer that would have matched it at some point, but it got banged up badly in transit if I recall correctly.
If I had to get another dryer, I'd love to find a match to the '66 Blackstone washer but I have never, ever seen one of that era.

Spin drain - with a spray-rinse added for good measure!
Did ya use a drop o' Loctite on that screw, just in case?

Maybe you should wear your Bracelets, Tiara, and your AW Bustier then you work on Spin Tubes.
Locktite is always a great idea, (it helps ease disassembly too by preventing thread corrosion and galling), but a loose setscrew won't hold up long with or without Locktite. A setscrew needs to dig in a little to do it's deal, otherwise it just works loose. I suggest Wheaties and or using a different tool to tighten said screw.

I had never seen Wounder Woman [ and now I don't think I missed a thing ] LOL, but she would diffidently be considered a neutral drain since she starts off just standing there in drippy outfits, that show could only be designed for young hetro boys.

I'm not hetero but I loved WW! It was a special show my dad and I both enjoyed.
