Hi guys the motor on my lovely wma64 is on it's last legs and when tumbling from heating and onwards during rinses it makes a creaking ticking groaning sound which is showing wear and tear on motor and i am unsure of whether to get a 1400 spin brushed motor from amazon for £97.12 or get a chopper pcb for £105.35 and 1600 motor dc kit from yourspares for £102.83 (total of both from yourspares £208.18) but how am i gonna make it 1600?

Janak

P.S. here's the link for the 1400 motor

Are you absolutely sure that it's the motor at fault?

The ticking/creaking/groaning might be from the drum bearings and bearing seal assembly.

I know that my current Panasonic makes a creaking sound if it is put on a maintenance wash with citric acid, as did the previous Panasonic, as did the Hoover New Wave.

Hi rolls_rapide I am sure it’s the motor at fault as some people told me that the motor is ruined when it’s making a ticking sound and someone told me that it’s the brushes on the commutator and one said the ticking sound is the armature

WD40 is the most versatile product ever invented.

You can loosen rusted screws, remove bubble gum from hair, clean hard water from shower glasses and tiles, remove grease from hands, rust from tools, tea stains from furniture, repel insects, prevent wasps from building their nests around your house, relieve arthritis pain and maybe other 2000 different uses and more.

And believe it or not is gentle enough for women to remove nail polish easily (and as a bonus it makes the nails stronger and less prone to breakage) without destroying their hands. It can also be used as makeup remover.
