Watched "Rachel Getting Married" tonight. Got to be the only movie ever made where two characters had a dishwasher loading competition while various family and friends cheered them on. The Son-in-Law to be challenged his soon to be Father-in-Law that he could load more into the DW, claimed the mantle had been past to a new generation. They did a timed competition, but the skills of the younger man were no match for the experience of the father who managed to add more dishes to the load.

Any other movies out there that use appliances as part of the story?

How about Mr. Mom..

Where Michael Keaton battles with an overloaded coppertone Westinghouse Front loader from circa 1968 and then has to fight with a hopped up Kirby called Jaws to save his son Kenny's security blanket.
Then there is also the Jerry Lewis Movie from the early 60's called Who's Minding The Store? where he works in an appliance department of a Department Store with er...shall we say explosive results.
In Peggy Sue got married at least one scene in the movie takes place in her husbands families appliance store when she is transported back to 1960.
The movie That Thing You Do starts out in Pattersons Appliance Store which is owned by the drummer Guy Patterson's father....that's all I can think of off the top of my head for now...PAT COFFEY

Gaganau

Their dishwasher was a 30 inch wide Gaganau? Those are the great grandsons of the original 30 inch Youngstown Kitchens 30 inch model. They imop are greatly over rated and overpriced. MSRP is $2500.
