Have any of you watched the TV Commercial for Mr. Steamy ? Years ago my Mom called it "Sprinkling" clothes for ironing.
Has anyone noticed that Mr. Steamy while removing wrinkles in the dryer also buttons up the shirts and zips up the pants too ???
But wait, there's more... If you act now they'll give you a bottle of "stuff" that removes orders from your clothes.
Yuck. So you can take a smelly shirt and throw it in the dryer with Mr. Steamy filled with the stuff and then it's ready to wear.
You have to be awfully short on clean clothes to do that.
Nasty !!!

I've never heard of it

Is it like Dryel?

You can actually "freshen" clothes that have been hanging all summer, or packed in a suitcase by tossing them in the dryer with a damp towel. Or if you spent the money for a steam dryer like I did you can use it also. Shhh--Don't tell anyone, the only time the steam feature was used was the night it was deilvered when they tested it after hook up.

In any case you are supposed to be able to freshen clothes, now as far as doing the zips and buttons; that's pretty fantastic if I do say so myself.

I know Sears at least offered something similar years ago--a hollow ball to be filled with water and tossed in the dryer to dampen clothes.

Seems to me the Mr. Steamy effect could be duplicated with a damp tea towel. Cost: $0.00

You know...

It's amazing what people will buy. On one hand I picked up a Show Time Rottisierie. I love it. (The Show Time that is) But on the other hand, this seems a little too far fetched for it to work. 19.95 for a Rubber Ball( looks like a dog toy) with a bunch of knobs on it, seems to me that it's stupid.
Plus when they take the clothes out of the Dryer, the shirts and pants are all buttoned up. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
