Not only is that an exemplary sample of a Flair, the seller earns top marks for posting pictures of all the elements on in the dark and good relevant close-ups. This seller deserves to get a good price for this one.

Well There Are Two Bids

So here is hoping a member snags the thing.

Seller obviously knows what he or she has so the reserve may prove to be more than some are willing to pay, but who knows. Cannot imagine what the shipping costs would be however. Personally would be crushed if such a beautiful and nicely preserved unit arrived badly damaged by shipper.

What is the deal with these Flair ranges anyway? Besides Samantha Stephens were other housewives in love with the things? Seems rather a waste to have all that space below just for storage. But guess those two ovens meant you didn't need a large one below.

Someone ought to bring Flair ranges back but perhaps offer induction instead of or perhaps with coils for heating.

Can imagine these Flair ranges did not sell well where electric rates were dear. Have never like electric range cooktops, but love ovens heated that way.

The Flairs were built like GMs cars including the chrom trim. The Radiantube elements and beautiful chrom interiors of each of the ovens gave them beauty and elegance.They were,evidently,popular and very dependable in performance,features,and quality. Thats why there are so many on ebay now but,the owners can be a bit greedy. Some had the storage below while others had dishwashers built into the cabinetry right underneath the Flair. One of our neighbors did that and they still use theirs. If they had kept them in manufacturing, I think they would do great as long as they had the smooth top models,not Radiantube.

The Appeal....

....Of Flairs was glamour. Women who liked things fancy loved the way those things looked. With some Flair owners I was around back in the day, cooking was sort of beside the point.

One of the guys my dad worked with was married to a Flair owner. They mostly ate Stouffers, back before microwaves, and once a year at the holidays, she knocked herself out with a big batch of hot crab dip, which admittedly was delicious. But it was the only cooking I knew her to do.

Whoever owned that range after her got a very low-miles example, at least so far as the cooktop was concerned. The ovens would have been a different story because of all the frozen entrees.

A new stove, if someone would make one with Radiantubes, a flourescent light and some chrome!!!LOL
