Thank you for sharing. Can you tell us more about the machine in picture #2? The design resembles a friend's 1910 Cataract which rocked back and forth causing the fabrics to slide over the ribbed base of the tub.
 
Too cool! Since I was born and grew up in Pocatello Idaho, I'll be sure to visit Don Aslett's Museum of clean on my next visit home.
 
Thank you. It is amazing how many producers of other products found a way to turn them into newer products that were coming into demand sort of like Johnny Studebaker going from making covered wagons to automobiles.

Btw, my U.S. model of the Hoovermatic came in 2012 from the
region of Ogden UT - which you may know quite well;
it costed me a lot of bucks to get it, here in the north!
