yeah they dont pull out :/ i suppose i could try a little bit harder as they may just be stiff, but i dont want to pull too hard incase i break it.
how are these machines normally turned on?

Well I am not sure but....

I thought if you picked the cycle on the Bendix set the temp etc then make sure the door is closed tightly as I am convinced you cannot pull the dial with the door open and then try see what happens.

hi nothing has been knocked but the motor sounds awful.. theres some little metal triangles on a cog, and a couple keep falling out? as a little bit of the cog is snapped, do i need a new motor?

To turn on the bendix I seem to recall on a video I once saw the guy pushed the timer dial in and turned as he was holding it in. When he released it the machine came on. Maybe try that? Don't count me on it I just remember seeing it in a video....

Good luck!

Ah, I only just saw this thread so didn't know about the noisy motor. Is it just the broken pulley or are there noises from inside the motor?

3 good finds here, I only wish I had space 4 a few vintage machines lol.

I like the Hotpoint here, the most common model of the New Generation range, looks well cared for.

The Servis I like too, I grew up with 1, albeit rebranded an Electra with the later design, and it had the Chevron drum as well.

The Bendix (Eudora) machine is a nice little 1, I've seen many vids on YouTube of these and they're great fun 2 watch, I'm sure u'll have a good time using it.

That's my thoughts on those models. :)
