I think is the Baumatic machine you mean. They had a bad rep for a terrible design for the sump hose. A nice retainer collar that could only be inserted from the inside of the outer tub.
I also remember the Beatrice built in dryer, it was ust a washer dryer, without the washer lol. Only the Italians!

Not seen any Siltal - Fagor dryers but have seen them on the parts / model lists. Think Fagor had a good range from Cre-point =)until they bought Brandt that is.

not really, appalling service network from Italy. Parts that never arrived, nobody their ever replied, until they wanted paying that is..... Parts are becoming scarce.

Baumatic have not produced a thing until they bought Italian manufacturer Kosmo, who produced some of their ceramic hobs and the side opening Megachef ovens before takeover. The good thing with Baumatic, is that they do have a very comprehensive range on built in products. But all badged from others.

Ive never really been a fan of baumatic since i found out how bad thier customer support is, most of thier washers are made in china by haier now, its rather sad tbh

Yep, all Haier now on the built in, and initially with the MEGA6 models. They have used a lot of Fagor, Vestel, Antonio Merloni, and a few Gorenje (my fave) Everything is about price =/ and not quality =(
 
I know, i knew somone with a baumatic that was made by vestel, apparently, the pully would grind against the back cover, until her dad took the back plate off and hammerd it, then it was fine, i do love the line of coloured fridges they make :-)
Noticed you have the same whirlpool washer as me lol :-)

ah now totally off topic oops! It's in a sad way and was my friends acquisition when she moved. The lower weight was loose and cracked the base of the tank with a few small leaks, debored like a gooden! will use it for shoes lol. Too expensive to invest in a new tub, typical of Whirlpool.... When I want space may list some spares on Ebay lol.

Those Smeg fridges are excellent for tapping into consumer desire, and are basically Gorenje for the most part (although some from Antonio mer, Whirlpool more recently) and are provided to Smeg unfinished. Then they 'clad' them, and insert the doors into their moulds with smeg hinges. This is why some cabinets twist in time because the doors are heavy for the cabinets.

Well the Smegs have been toyed around with..... lol Smeg don't produce any refrigeration units, so consumers are always smacked up in price on the name.

Yeah the Whirlpool is a shame, would have reconditioned it. The little blue handle is also busted, but alas is not available without the lid which is a total rip off. Shame Philips sold out IMO

Will check out who makes that indulgence model tomorrow, I think the orbital arm is revolutionary (haha) but to get that on a slimline dw was a stroke of genius.

How old is your aquamatic compact model?

Do you know if it has a sealed tank? or is this generation still serviceable? If your not sure, could you tell me the 16 digit code starting with 3 from the door aperture please?

The Baumatic INDULGENCE.CR is made by Vestel, I think their products are good bits of kit, would rather a Vestel over Beko anyway ;)

Thanks for your welcome =) kind of is the answer, I have had workshop and on the road experience, now I deal with spare parts. But still have a healthy interest in appliances.

I am pretty anti the whole sealed tank machines, I think they are step too far towards non serviceable products. I think the Vestel washers in particular are good in that they still use serviceable tubs, and parts are reasonably priced. That is provided that they are available..... =/ Yes i'm also on UKW.

P.S those celcus TV's in sainsburys are made by vestel in turkey and they are really good ^-^

are responsible for a huge portion of the rebranded market on lots of products. Hoping they may tool up for a dryer range for when Servis is officially relaunched. Please Tom, I think your model is an aquamatic100f?
