Hi everyone, I was doing the laundry this morning and felt the need to upload some videos of my washers in action. Also demontrating my bit to save on water and energy. I hope you like my short videos.
From the GE Filter Flo to the Maytag Atlantis for the next wash. We have solar heated hot water here in Sunny Sydney but I still like to not waste hot sudzy water
Yep, hanging out on a sunny day is great. However, stuff comes out much softer from the dryer. I always dry towels in the dryer. On the line they go quite hard and abrasive. Good to have both options.
Back in the 80s, when I had electric water heating, I did suds transfers. I also routed the rinse water from my KDS14 into my top loaders. I did run the water through a strainer to catch the little food particles which would sometimes be in the first rinse. The three rinses would fill the Frigidaire WCI58 about 2/3s full of 150F hot water.
I now have gas water heating. Before I switched almost exclusively to front loaders, I used to transfer suds between the Maytag, GE & KA washers. I also have a sump pump in a 30 gallon plastic trash can to pump the rinse water out onto the yard. I can even put the Miracle Gro in the container before the rinse water drains into it then run outside and move the hose from plant to plant to feed them.
Hello Simon, great space you have there and a good collection of machines for the start of your collection", nice to see the Wilkins Service and the Zanussi IZ, I guess the GE is the original Filterflow, just need to find that Galamatic now...
