My Bosch dishwasher Bob- Loaded to the max

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Whirlpool, fire (almost)

Here's what happened.

Bought the DW in December, 2006. In 2008, it quit.

Had a repairman out. There was a burned component on the circuit board. He replaced it.

Used until late 2010. This time, the dishwasher DIDN'T quit but started sputter-sounding (like it was arcing inside) and smoking. I shut off the power, and opened it up. Fried components, again.

I had a similar dishwasher when I lived back east and it was a workhouse. This one, not so much, and wan't real good at cleaning either.

I researched and got the Bosch. I was glad that I don't run appliances when I'm not home.

The Bosch Dishwashers can hold quite a few more plates than the Whirlpool. The tines in the bottom rack are much closer together than the Kenmore(Ultra wash Whirlpool made) that I used to own. Especially the tall dinner plates. I can put a ton of them in it, in the back row. The upper rack might be a little smaller than the Kenmore, but the height makes up for it. I can stick big items in the top rack.
