# 5 is a semi automatic washer.

Just means you have to add the water for wash and rinse cycles

Graham, very nice. I'm particularly partial to that avocado Kenmore 800, THE MATCH to Jasonl's & my childhood washers!!! Intersting ya have many dryers. Kinda like that, different for a change. Keep us posted and what the new additions are!!

A great collection for just a few months! Congratulations!

Will keep an eye out for that timer dial needed on that early '60's 'Kenmo.

Late 60's/early '70's Whirly washer with lighted controls looks to be in pretty good shape. Whirly really hit their stride whith these things and must have sold a gazillion of 'em.

That early '60's gas dryer needs a window door----maybe someone out there has a spare. Very kool the little gas flame decal is still on the lower panel. Those are fabulous dryers!
I am using a '66 Whirly Gas Dryer as my daily driver and it is my favourite dryer of all time! John LeFever was kind enough to provide me with a glass window door to install on it and drying clothes has never been the same since!

Your '55 "Filtrator" is also in beautiful shape. IMO the best towel dryer ever made!

I know where the match to that early '60's GE Dryer is-------!

Best wishes!

Hey Graham, you have a great collection starting there, with such a diverse range of years and MFG's. You are a good example for folks - this stuff is still out there. Keep hunting and keep polishing up these beauties!

Ben

Very cool

Let me echo the praise, a wonderful, diverse collection, something for everyone to enjoy!

Gyrafoam

You know of a matching GE v-12 washer is? Do tell.

Thanks so much everyone. It has been a blast collecting!

Wow, that Philco!

It's a given that all the appliances are straight from the Mother Lode, but THAT Philco TV! Never saw one with the abstract-shaped screen like that! What a terrific styling idea. Wasn't Philco also the brand that was ahead of its time pre-WWII with a phonograph that used a beam of light to enhance the playing sound on records? I don't think that model Philco phonograph was made for too many years as my understanding is it was somewhat complicated technology for the day, and also the inability to get parts due to the war. Anyway, congrats on a great collection and one-of-a-kind TV!

You and your niece are so beautiful

and you have so many dryers which brings a big smile to my face because I'm a total washer freak but I never "got" dryers. Any enlightenment, Buddy?

Dryers

HAHA, i love dryers but the 'real' reason i have so many is because that was what was available to me to buy. I am just anxious to build my collection. By the way i got a great old maytag from RICH. YAY for him. What an awesome guy.

Man, you got some nice dryers dude! And a some nice washers too! Got to find some more washers though. We always find room for more washers somehow. You still gonna try to snag the 61 WP Imperial?

I like the older WP dryers!

Hey Rick

Yeah definitely. When that lady e-mail's me after her trip. I like whirlpool a lot too. Though, i like vintage washers and dryers period. hehe:) Thanks again for the tip!!

Great Stuff!

What a great way to start a collection! You have an interesting assortment of machines; some of which I've never seen before!

You keep up the good work and the collecting! Someone's gotta save 'em!!
