Hi all, I just wanted to voice my opinion and let you all know how disappointed I was the Insinkerator's Evolution Excel. This is supposed to be their BEST disposer and I found it to grind all of my food waste very slow. It might have all kinds of features down in the grind chamber, but no matter what I put down it, when I thought it was finished, it wasn't. I would shut the disposer off and the water then lift out the splash guard and there was still waste left in there. Very disappointing. So I sold it on Fleabay (I think-that or craigslist) and after much consideration about purchasing a batch feed model, I bought a Waste King 3/4 horsepower batch feed Legacy Series model. I'm very pleased to let everyone know that no matter what I've put down it, it quickly shreds and grinds everything and I like the one piece stopper to put in the sink opening and turn it on. Took me forever to figure out just how that works.
