Here is an eBay link to an old, family-made broiler. Two of our closest friends had one, I have a photo of it on their kitchen counter somewhere. The broiler was made by my father's cousin, either in the factory in Brooklyn, NY or in a factory in New Jersey. Surprisingly, we never had one, Mom or Grandma used to do all the broiling in our gas ovens.

The Fleck was very highly rated by CU in the 40s. The parents of a friend had one in their NY apt. As his mother was passing from this world to the next, the TV was on and there was something shiny on the screen. Her last words to her husband were, "Look, Eddy, the Fleck."

OH WOW, Tom!

Thanks for the comment, I happen to know that these broilers were highly rated! I also have the patent documentation! That's not only the reason our friends in Forest Hills bought it, but it was MY family that made it! Our part of the family never had "money". G-D only knows how much I am in need today, I can barely survive struggling with everything and my health! BTW, I am told by my friend in Ashburn, VA that most ALL the water in MD is hard, especially if it comes from a river. He knows his stuff-his water sucks, as does most of VA's!

If you drink hard water can you do without Viagra?

Well, I know Montgomery Co. takes its water from the Potomac as does the District and the water is hard. When I moved up here and lived in Silver Spring, I had to use water softener with detergent in the laundry or soap did not wash out of washcloths. Prince George's County, where I now live, draws its water from the Pautuxent river and it is much softer.

Tom, if I drink hard water...

I would get totally constipated! I hate hard water, it screws with my innards. Anytime I go to visit my friends in VA, I take a box of prunes with me! The "stiff things" will come out the rear, and not stick-out the front either, so the water is not a substitute for Viagra.
