There's nothing in either the tech sheet or service manual regards to those indicator lights referencing a fault code. Fault codes are in format of FnEn on the numeric display by accessing service/diagnostic mode.
Hello, I was in a thrift store today and I found a pair of Maytags in Harvest Gold. They are a matching set. The washer model was HA806 with serial letters YH. The dryer was a GD808 with serial letters ZU. Does anyone know what year these were made? They are in very nice condition - $150.00...
Its a Maytag A712 washer, TOL for its time. Made with the pitman transmission from 1984-June 1989. The lower o-ring seal was replaced with the lip seal beginning in June, 1986. The orbital transmission was installed in July, 1989 until its production end in 1990. The matching TOL dryer was a DE/DG 712 from 1984-early 1989 then replaced with the very short lived DE/DG 713 as a TOL dryer until its production end in 1990.
Well Alex, I got gifted a used Frigidaire (Fridgemore) fornt loader in 2006 with the intention from that point on to never go back to a top loader, particularly a DD desgin. I coined the term shredmore and it still sticks with me as far as I'm concerned.
I had a small conversation in a youtube comment section with someone who posted a video of their horrible HE TL washer (I think it was from 2017) and miraculously it's made it and still working with no issues... He was watching it try to roll over a load and was cussing it... laughing at how ridiculous it was...I think it was a Kenmore TL washer...
He said he can't wait until it does and they replace it with a better TL...
I said, "Why not just get a front load" He says there's nothing wrong with FL's, but that he just likes the way TL washers operate more... That they are more pleasing to watch or something like that...
I disagree totally.. I think the coolness factor of a front loader is higher than a TL washer... Especially the clean washer cycle..
But to each their own I guess...
if someone wanted to give me a brand new IN BOX HE TL washer, I would say no...I would rather have the worst rated front loader on the market.
