Introducing my 1986 71340 Super Plus, just needed a clean up. Cant believe somebody threw out a perfectly working dishwasher.

Congrats. I share your excitement, as one of my fav pastimes for decades was trolling the neighborhoods for throughaways...never any appliances. Just looking at all your washers in the background...and thinking, when you leave the room, the washers are talking..."now what? " and so on, and an animated film comes to mind, but not going there. I don't own a portable, but just like them. Good luck on future finds.

I love that dishwasher! Looks absolutely fabulous especially the worktop, will match your 9414 nicely! Also in the subject of new machines, the person who is taking the Indesit IS60V from me says that their old dryer is a old dryer, so I will tell you what it is when I see her tomorrow.

Congratulations, You Have....

One of the last Bosch sourced machines that Hotpoint produced, they had an alliance with Bosch to supply all Bosch parts and they where assembled by Hotpoint...these are superb machines and although 3 progs one temp they lasted well!!

It is indeed a relabeled Bosch, but I think I have seen newer Hotpoints that are also relabeled Bosch ones. This is not a tall tub, so it must be an older model. Could you take a picture of the interior?

Found a spot for it to reside...

I wanted it to stay seperate from the automatics as it wouldnt look organised. So after some measuring and thinking I decided to put it here. Turns out I will have it plumbed in afterall, this will be done by having a hole in either the wall beside it or the floor to accomodate hoses as the mains runs close enough under it anyway. The teak Supermatic De Luxe will be beside it to accompany the teak worktop. I will have it plumbed in this weekend all being well.

Thanks for the replies as well. As Mike says, on UK soil this is a basic model with only 3 programmes 1 temperature (65*). However on Irish soil, I'm pretty sure that the De Luxe models wouldnt have been popular. A dishwasher was only for the well off or "The Buckets" class on our soil. This model would have done them for sure. As you can see this was well looked after because of the money spent on it. By the time this was bought most were still using twin tubs here.

The number of times that I have seen a New Generation Hotpoint dishwasher on ebay and thought 'I need one of those, cause no one else has managed to get one yet!' and then not done anything about it.

Well now I dont have to, as you have managed to get yoursekf a very tidy 71340.

Smart looking machine and looks in good nick too! You will have to get a dinner service for the wash-house now, in order to give it some work to do
