This weekend, I attended my first Wash-in at the lovely home of Mike "gewa1054wguy" in Long Beach.

Mike's house is a wonderful, nostalgia-invoking melange of early- to mid-1960s artifacts, art, home decor and appliances. He's done an absolutely fabulous job! My camera's memory card filled up before I could take all the photos I wanted to (the following 41 are just a fraction of all that I took!), and I didn't get but one photo of his incredible kitchen! Mike, I hope you'll take some pix of your kitchen and post them here!!

Anyway, "A Good Time Was Had By All."

Following is my photo presentation. Excuse the lack of names but all of these folks except for Scott Onasch & Rich Maher were new to me, and I have a terrible memory for people's names.

My laundry! (I guess Mike was relieved that I did not bring my "ledendary" [imaginary] collection of 10,000 pairs of underwear.......hahaha!!)

Note the OxyClean, and the packets of PRIDE laundry detergent. Everyone had a chance to smell its scent and all seemed to agree that it's just heavenly!! We even put a couple of the packets to use.

I must say, this was the first time I ever fell in love with a washer and dryer --- and it was truly love at first sight!!

Showing the soap dispenser and the ingenious way the washer shoots water up into it first to dissolve the soap powder before dispersing it into the machine.
