I Thought that it could be an idea to tell about my machine collection here and some comments on the machines i have.

WASHING MACHINES

1 Hoover Keymatic 3331: This machine is from 1961 and it still works very good. Only bad thing is that it doesn´t wash as clean as new or other washers. This is due to the construction of the machine. It spins at about 750 rpm. Only problem is that the fuses blow if i wash at 185 f, thats about 85 celsius.

2 Constructa V4 De luxe 100: A german machine that a friend gave me. He said he was going to throw away it, so i saved the machine from that. It leaks a little, but this is common with this machine i,ve heard. It also wanders a bit when it does spin. The spin speed is not very high. Dont know the speed for sure. It has a lot of buttons to the programs. (see pic at end of thread)

3 Whirlpool duet washer: This machine an another friend gave to me. It works kinda good, but is very noisy and in my opinion not very good. I have had a problem with it. The machine was flashing a fault code but now it seems to work again. Spins at about 1200 rpm

4 Miele w 721: A machine i actually have buyed myself. It is from 1989 and is the best washer in my opinion (cleanes VERY good). I have only have 1 problem with it. It was a coin in the pump. Spins at about 1100 rpm

MY TUMBLE DRYER
Cylinda (Asko) tt 120: A swedish dryer from 1975. It works good, but have overheated a few times. Not really sure why, i always check the lint filter before start. It has also sounded very bad, but not any more thank god.

MY DISHWASHER
General Electric sd 420 s: This machine is from 1965 and works fine, expect that it leaks from the door. It has a very nice chrome design that i really like. 4 buttons for program selection. It also has this "overhead" wash.

Wow, your house looks EXACTLY like Mike's in Chester, right down to the door handle! And you arranged the Keymatic in the same way too...how neat!

Mike, care to comment? ;-)

That green Keymatic certainly looks like the same one we saw on eBay a while back...I believe it was one of two Keymatics being sold as a pair, IIRC.

The keymatic one. The first pic on my photopage. If you want i can change the name so Mike is credited.

I dont look at e-bay. Its the first model of Keymatic that has this colours. Newr ones are white and has another timeline. You can see that on Foraloysius site

this one below

I'm sorry, but I find your story hard to believe. Here is why:

1. You did not only take the first picture from somewhere else, but also the second one. I linked the website where it comes from in my earlier post. The Constructa in the picture is not yours and you didn't take the picture as you said.

2. The Whirlpool Duet is not in your bathroom. That is an American laundryroom, I can tell by the details. So the information given with the picture is incorrect. Just look at the window, the wall that it's in is less thick than in the picture with the Miele. I'm sure you didn't tear down the outside wall just to replace it with a thinner one and put an American double hung window in.

3. The picture of the Hoover at work has a logo in it. Isn't that an old eBay logo?

4. I find it hard to believe that the last picture with the Philips washing machine is made in Scotland. I'm sure you will have an explanation for the fact that the plug in the picture is a different one than those used in Scotland. Just for your information I've added a little picture of those they do use there.

My conclusion is that too many things aren't what you want us to believe, so frankly I think you are an impostor. Ofcourse I challenge you to prove me wrong, I would surely owe you an apology then. I'm sure you can ask somebody else with a digital camera take a few pictures of you with the appliances you claim to own. Personally I'm looking forward to a picture of you with the control panel of the RCA Whirlpool combo that you saved. But a picture of you with the Constructa or the Whirlpool Duet will do too...

There is a logo on the picture of the machine at work, i know. But you dont know the whole story of that one, but i can tell you if you want me too.

It was a long story, but i short it a bit. We had a party at our job and everybody was drunk. Someone said: we sell our lame machine on Blocket (swedish site similar to ebay). So they took the picture of the machine and sent it there. When our boss came on next day he was very angry and they had to take down the sell. I saved a picture of it on my computer first..

About the bathroom, actually i have 2 bathrooms and the one where the washers are are "made" to have an "American" feeling. It did cost a lot for me and my girlfriend to do that. I just love the american feeling.

About the philips washer. It was in a house in scotland, but it wasnt used. Thats all i can say about that, sorry

To foraloysius

This is a offline thing i,m gonna say, but you maybe wanna know. I saw an interesting thread. It was named: Best of vintage washer/dryer combo units. You mentioned a machine there that i now a few things about.

I have told you about that i recycling machines, well, before, we even repaired some of them and sold as used machines. The machine i wanna tell about is the Miele toploader w 489. It was sold in the seventies and Mile pulled it in quite fast.

Now the reason WHY it was pulled in: This machine had a fault in the motor which meant it COULD overheat. As i,ve heard from a source, nothing really happened, but it was enough for Miele to pull it back. Also there was some problems with the bearings also. I myself have seen very few of these machines. Have tried repairing one, but it didnt work out good.

YOU SHOULD NOT BE RUDE. YOU DONT NOW ME AND HAVE NO IDEA IF I LIE. WELL I DONT!!!!!!!!!!

i MAY HAVE USED OTHERS PICS BUT ITS BECAUSE MY CAMERA IS BROKEN.

BY THE WAY HOW COULD I OTHERWISE KNOW ABOUT THE WHIRLPOOL FAULT CODE?

I guess we are finally getting through to you. Yes, we think you are a liar. You told us that you only used one picture of somebody else, but that wasn't true. And as I said before I don't believe that you own those machines.

The fault codes are in the manuals that you can download from the Whirlpool website. Available to everybody.

Come on, do you really think we're that vain??

I agree Robert...but instead of not posting pictures at all, this one's stealing them from others' collections, making it even more obvious!!

Fredriksam, all of the Hoover Keymatic pictures were taken from Mike, right down to the one of the keyplate!! Same with the picture where the top looked green. I'm not sure where you got the others, but that foaming Frigidaire picture looks like it could be found pretty easily on Google.

Here's Mike's collection...notice the Keymatic shots.

Fredrik: I really hate to tell ya but,you can't get by with anything like that around here. These guy's know ALL the machines of all the members, kinda like their own member, if you know what I mean. Your better off putting them on your wish list. That's what I do. I steal em from the Kansas City museum all the time. See.
