Hello all,
I have a slight problem and was hoping someone here could tell me what I should do. The used Maytag washer I bought back in April is leaking water into the tub between loads of laundry. It doesn't do this after every load either, just sometimes, and when I go to run another load a couple days later, there will be a good couple inches of water in the bottom of the tub. Right now, I just run a spin cycle to get the water out when this happens, but I just hope it isn't indicative of a bigger problem soon to come. Is there anything I, or someone around me with some sight as I am totally blind, can do? It's one of the dependable care models, but I'm unsure of the model number.
I like my washer ok, but it doesn't impress me too much so far. It washes all right, but it doesn't fit a lot of clothes, and there's not much rinse time. I feel like I should have gone with a Whirlpool brand direct drive. If I could have it to do over again that's what I would have done. There were some available at the appliance store where I got the Maytag, and the only reason I didn't get one is because the Maytag had a clear, tactile pointer on it to set cycles, whereas the WP direct drive has that annoying spinning cover over the dial. This makes it really hard for me to non-visually mark my cycles and pointer. There has to be a workaround for this though.
