My Mom recently bought me an Apple Mac computer off of my sister's husband(he works for Apple) that has a LOT more RAM and a MUCH faster processor than my old Hewlett Packard Microsoft Windows 98 second edition computer I've had since 2002-and it has killer surround sound speakers! Now I can watch all of those Frigidaire 1-18's and other washers here much better!

I think Macs are like a car with the drivewheel in the center of the dashboard, trying to please every market in existence, but not really perfect for anybody.

Congratulations on your new computer , , ,

Being able to watch good washer videos is an important part of a satisfying life, as we all know!

Now let's please not turn this thread into a Windows vs. Mac thread. Both have their attributes, and we should all be thankful that they provide competition for each other.

Sorry, but that hurt my eyes reading that. No 14 year old "needs" a Mac Pro with a 30" Cinema HD Display and 4TB of storage for school. I got by making movies for school using the school's eMac and got all A's on my projects :)

That being said, I'm pretty happy with my iMac. Good luck with your machine!

I love my Dual Processor Mac Tower. My daughter uses a G4 eMac. I have noticed that Mac's are able to run current software with older hardware longer than Windows machines.

Hey, More power to him. That computer will last a very long time.

True, but I still think that's kind of overkill, considering that I would never be able to fill it all up unless I was a professional photographer/filmmaker shooting in RAW and uncompressed audio and HD video. Plus, I would never put all of my important data on any 1TB drive unless it was backed up at least once. I've been down that path twice where all of my data was on one drive and had the hard drive fail or the computer crash and lost all my music, movies, photos, homework, etc. If I were you I would get an external RAID system to use for Time Machine or install a RAID card and use RAID 5 on your four drives, if you haven't done so already :)
