Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Aferim!

You know, even a confirmed Kenmore snob like myself would love to own a machine like that. I just love tinted porcelain enamel, bells, whistles and dispensers.

Enjoy it in good health!

Ron, isn't this a wonderful machine? Yeah, I know, I'm biased, just like Jason. BUT I spy something that's a very unusual combination I've not seen before in an 800. the dials have the plastic/plexiglass surrounds for the water level markings and temp selections. But I've never seen this combined with the notched lid that doesn't have the metal handle. I've only seen the notched lid with the 2nd generation of these which had the markings and temp selections written on the panel itself with knob indicators which pointed in the direction of the4 setting? Understand? Jason's 800 is like I describe. You may just find him showing up at your front door. What kinda shape is it in?

Nice!

I had just sent the matching dryer in coppertone over to Gordon. The 800 is a nice machine. I can't quite tell from the picture. What color?

Andy... if you would check this site from a REAL computer, rather then your little iPod, you might be able to tell that it's avocado!

shes 70's avacado

Great machine washes wonderfully but refuses to drain got a friend comin to look at her soon plus the deteregent dispenser doesnt work either no water thru it

It sounds like you need a new pump!

I had the same problem with my Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer. It would just barely trickle when it was supposed to drain. I replaced the pump and it's drained and worked perfectly ever since!

OMG

Bob is right! It's the panel from my *DREAM* Kenmore 800, but the not-so-dreamy notched door handle. That's either a late 71 or early 72 while they were trying to get rid of the previous control panels?

Mine is the latter with the clear knobs, water level markings on the panels. 1972. STILL a dream machine and it's still the 800 style I've been wanting.

Now to get the garage clean so I can get the poor dear out of storage so I can start playing with it :-( .

Say again......

Ron, I think it's a beautiful machine - think those older KMs were really neat and special. Of course that could be said of many vintage machines and I know I've enjoyed my KM 600 the last couple of weeks since its arrival. I use it several times during the week along with the 08 GE FL that is the work horse machine that most of the laundry gets washed in.
Hope you get the pump and dispenser issues repaired soon!

Til Monday morning!
