I just bought this off of eBAY. Not sure of its age. However the owner said it was owned by his 90 year old aunt who has just passed away. He described it as being in pristine condition.Does anyone know how old this could possibly be? I am thinking maybe early to mid 70's.
Any thoughts? Im excited to receive it!

Shane, I'm pretty sure that one is from the early/mid 60s. I'm betting it weighs a ton, and has a fairly powerful motor too! It's very cool.

Thanks Scott!

I am told it solid stainless steel..and yes, quite heavy! also, the jar is glass

thats about 1968 or so...

Middle late 60's, nice find! I have that same model on my kitchen table as a lamp!

Oh how exciting!

I was born in'68..wonder how I can find out the exact age? Thanks guys so much for your input..Betty, you out there? what you think?

Great find Shane!

You just can't beat an Oster for blending power! I have an Oster Commercial blender somewhat similar to yours that I guessed was from the late 60's. They are ferocious at chopping ice and making smoothies and boat drinks.

Although yours is in fabulous condition, you may want to make sure that the bearing and blade assemblies are in good shape and not leaking. Is the blade an "ice" blade or a blending blade? If you do need any type of replacements for your Oster blender, get on line at Goodmans.com to get new parts. That's the beauty about Oster...parts are still available, and Oster blender accessories are interchangeable. You can use their juicers, food processor accessories, choppers, etc. on your blender base.

Have fun and happy blending!

Hey Shane,

I am almost certain I have a Bennett Brothers catalog with that Blender in it. I will look tonight and scan/post the page for you.
I have that same blender on my kitchen table, made into a lamp. Mine came to me with a fried motor, so I removed the guts and made a lamp, controlled by the on-off switch.
Thats a nice little blender!
Jeff

Thanks so much Jeff! Im so excited to get this blender. I was hoping it was a 1968 model since that is my birth year!

=)

Hey Wild Rose.....that blender is from the mid to late 60's. It's the same one my Aunt Josie used to have that we used to use to make breadcrumbs out of the dried bread. It was faaaaabulous!!!

AndrewinOrlando~

Ok..come over and lets make some homemade breadcrumbs! we can make fried chicken cutlets, mashed yukon gold potatoes and salad! =)
